It's no secret that Crytek is spending some time to make sure that Crysis 2 will be one of the best looking games on consoles, but make no mistake, it will still look the very best on the PC.
That should have never been in question, but recent technical demonstrations have taken place on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which potentially worried the PC faithful. Crytek CEO Cervat Yerli says there's nothing to be worried about.
"PC is the best looking version, yeah," he answers, in a CVG story. "But if I had shown it on PC, it would have been like... okay, Crysis 2 is on console, but they're not showing the console version. So we wanted to go with console."

That's not to say that Crysis 2 hasn't been influenced by console gaming – it certainly has – but Crytek insists that it's been for the better, thanks to the competitive, brutal nature of the console market.
